So I have noticed that the moment is not not exactly the best for 3d games nor emulaters. What exactly is making them run so slow when it has decent specs?

    I would guess a piss-poor GPU/graphics accelerator. But I dunno about the specifics.

Yea it lags a lot... all the polarbit games.... it works perfect on the cliq and even the g1... y such a lag on the moment? Doesn't it have a faster processor? Do the games work properly with the CL14 update?

Actually the Moment has a decent 3D accelerator. The problem is that Android 1.5 doesn't support 3D accelerators! However 2.0 will.

Has anyone tried one of the polarbit games with the CL14 update? Does it run smoother... the motorola cliq has android 1.5 as well, but runs these games pretty decent.

Well, the CL14 update increased the FPS by 3. That's nothing to shake a stick at, seeing as before we were running them at average of 6-8. If you go by VERY lenient standards, it's moderately playable at this point.
It still makes me die a little bit inside when I see the program chugging worse than a high-school frat boy with his nose plugged.

Like gbaoid and nesoid for emulaters and that Mystique (spelt right?) game.
