Is Sprint offering a trial for the Hotspot function on the EVO?

They were for the month of June from what I understood. I could never get it to work so I used unrevoked and got wireless teather and that worked great till I did the OTA update. Have not heard if unrevoked will work again

Thank you for the response. I currently have a clear card I want to cancel and use my phone instead since it is cheaper. Has anyone tried the mobile hotspot? Is there a data cap?

No data cap on the hotspot feature using 4g. I think the same 5gb cap remains for 3g on the hotspot.

As for the "trial" I read that they just claimed it was a "trial" while it was actually an exploit they screwed up and left open. The last OTA also closed that hole effectively ending the "trial"

Is there a contract associated with it or can I activate it for a month and then deactivate?

I was told it was month to month. Basically, you are just buying hotspots for the month. Need to "buy" again next month. Same as Sprint TV extra.

    What I was told.

The HotSpot feature currently has no data cap for 3g or 4g. And it is only a "feature" so you can add or delete it from your plan whenever you wish.
