On Friday I noticed when I turned on my phone the 3G icon did not come up. I did the old airplane toggle on/off trick and it came up right away. It is still continuing to do this. The interesting part is that if I turn my phone off and turn it on two seconds later it'll acquire signal right away. Also, if I start it up and fail to do the airplane mode trick, the 3G will eventually come up in around 30 seconds or so. Is there another solution for this?

Yeah. I was thinking that it might also just be the tower taking a long time to authenticate the device too.
