While I was trying a 4.2.2 ROM on my Optimus V I looked at the messaging app. It was better then the 4.0.4 messaging app IMO. So now I want it on the rise. Is there a way to put 4.2 massaging app on the rise? I tried pulling the apk from the ROM and install it to my rise but it force closed. So I'm guessing other files need to be includes?

Sorry i don't have any input on this.

I just want to know if you came up with something? It's very interesting.

No not yet. I went back to GB. I was trying to flash the rom again but wouldn't boot. So I'm going to try to redownload and flash again. I post my findings.

---Quote (Originally by ZackVortex)---Does this messaging app rely on any files? And if so which ones?

Sent from my C5155 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2 ---End Quote---It used to be the framework.jar, frameworks-res.apk, apns-conf.xml, mms.apk. In jb 4.2, they moved a lot code out of framesworks base.
