    fact.

Our only question mark is possibly Alex Smith, if we have a solid season this year, we are almost a complete team imo. I believe in Alex Smith.

I don't think we have the defensive secondary to keep up with some of the high flying passing offenses..this year, but I feel next year we can patch up our Pass Coverage and pass rush D.

Offense has everything assuming our 2 first round picks, both o-linemen shore up this year. Crabtree and Davis are beasts and Gore is a machine, Anthony Dixon whom we drafted is another big running back to help pound the ball.

/flamesuit on. feel free to tear me to shreds =D

Are you taking action? Can I bet against the 49ers winning?

A team on the rise, no doubt. But you're not getting there with Alex Smith at the helm, IMO.

    that's my only real concern.

i agree however he's had 5 diff coordinators in all 5 years and 2 shoulder injuries.

i like to give him the benefit of a doubt, all the OTAs said he was 'commanding' the offense not just going along with it. only time will tell.

I'll get to see him a lot this year.

2 Monday Night games, a Sunday Night game...and i live in STL so i see them play against the rams in person and when they play in SF. I believe they are playing in Europe to so I'm sure that game will be televised as well.

ha, unfortunately, i think with odds, even if they do not win, you'd still lose money :D

I'll be happy as long as the Pats aren't in it and don't win it. Indy's my hometown, and that'd just be serious blow.

+1 Smith does not seem to have what it takes in the long run.

Who was that long haired mick that the 49ers had? He wasn't too shabby if I remember correctly.

That will only be if they can make it past the defending super bowl champions to get to the superbowl. The Dallas Cowboys are going to win this year, and I don't see them losing many players after this year.

this... i dont think he's that bad of a qb at all. he hasnt had that great of a line to protect him, and he's had to learn entirely new offenses due to the new coordinators.

doubtful they're going to get to the superbowl and i'm saying that as a fan but they have been getting better every year the last few years and with some of the new pickups i'm very excited to see how they do.

With so much parity in the league. it's possible. but i think they're one of those teams that will be so close yet so far. A win-able division for sure though. vernon davis better not screw us in fantasy this year.

Davis came up big for me in fantasy last year. Not bad for a guy who was picked up in week 3 from FA waivers. LOL!

Niners aren't going nowhere with Alex smith as QB. I can almost assure you Sam Bradford will put up better numbers then him. I say this cause he'll probably get yanked during mid season.

    My predictions:

    1. San Francisco
    2. St Loius
    3. Arizona
    4. Seattle (Carrol can't coach the NFL level)

How can you assure bradford will have better numbers? By starting more games in the season maybe, but who will he throw to? Smith has V Davis and Crabtree

AZ still stronger by a mile than STL IMO

I think that even with the loss of Kurt Warner, Arizona is still going to own the division. If the 49ers got a top rate, elite QB then they would have a great shot for a Super Bowl Ring hands down.

They're are a few teams that are much better than the Cowboys! Plus they choke every postseason.

i'd like to change this to "by at least 2052"

    thanks

love how the defense is almost the same personnel and same coaches and has gone from a top 5? defense last year to just horrible this year.
