Theres already a forum made for the Evo V. Not sure if you can root it the same way as the Evo 3D but we'll get answers soon.

I'm jumping ship as well. Gonna hold on to my triumph just in case, Besides with the flood of triumphs on ebay after this release, I'll only get 50 bucks for it.

Just sold my MT for $200. Was going to get $230 for it but I sold it to a friend. It was Brand new in box but I had a case and 2 extra batteries with it.

Question now is, Stick with my LG Marquee on Boost Mobile or Jump ship back to VM when the Evo V 4G comes out, Hm....

I'll pick up the Evo V and donate the Triumph to a friend. My 3G speeds suck. WiMax has to be much better, and at the same costs. Does anyone know of any real world WiMax speed numbers?

I hope VM's WiMax speeds are faster because maybe it's just me but Boost Mobile's 3G speeds compared to Virgin Mobile seem so much faster.

Sold my Triumph last week for $275 with 6 batteries and a ton of extras, being my 6th replacement in 2 months it was brand new in the box. Preordered the Evo from RadioShack last night. Sell your Triumphs now, once the Evo is released prices are going to tank. Even without WiMax in your area this phone is just so much better.

If your 3g speeds suck then most likely it's because you are in a low signal area which means more than likely you won't even get 4g... And Sprint's Wimax has a high of like 6mb/s down...

As far as the signal strength is concerned they really have nothing to do with one another. You could have great 4G signal with absolutely no 3G. Especially with WiMax you really have to check it down to the street level, zip code is way too course to really be helpful as to whether you will have signal or not.
