When I check the tab to turn on 4G it is stuck on Scanning for hours. What is the correct procedure to turn on 4G on the EVO? Thanks.

you have the correct procedure, but you might not have 4G in your area and its just looking...

that'll kill your battery while its searching by the way

Turn it on, and if you dont pick anything up for a few minutes shut it back off, itll kill your battery.

When i am in the car, i have it plugged into my car charger. So i turn my 4g on and watch it pick up signal here and there. Some signals are strong and connect for a while, so that i know where 4g is at in my area.

sprints official answer at release was to only click on 4g when in a confirmed area, and when extra speed is needed for downloading websites and videos.
