4g signal and battery life

i just noticed that i have 4g in NYC but i also noticed just being connected to it is draining my battery alot more then usual. has anyone with a 4g signal noticed the effect on battery life even when you are not using the phone?

If you are in a low/no signal area, most phones' batteries tend to drain faster than normal, as the radios struggle to establish/maintain connection to a tower.

How strong is your 4G signal?

it says excellent, also i noticed that when it comes back from sleep i have weird error that says something about username and vision.
