I have a general question about 4G networks (sorry if I put in wrong thread) I was just wondering which network is best for 4g speeds and most locations for 4g and things like that mainly just comparing verizon 4g to sprint 4g

Verizon's LTE is ridiculously fast in cities that have it. My friend's Thunderbolt gets like 33mbps!

I've gotten 5.4mbps on my Galaxy S on T-mobile, that was their 3G mind you, dunno about HSPA+

AT&T sucks the most for me, my Atrix gets 1.8mbps down and like 1kb up

    *All in Atlanta btw.

its amazing that we can transmit that much data through thin air. soon that will blanket the country..... I have a feeling that 3G/4G internet podcasts or internet radio like Pandora may replace convention radio and even XM once it starts getting bundled into cars like OnStar.

If you live in a supported city, Verizons LTE is the hands down winner. The speeds are incredibly. Faster than most of America's home internet.

I've found Sprint's 4G (through a mobile hotspot) to be a little lacking. Often the 3G in the same area delivers similar speeds causing us to have the hotspot prefer 3G connections over 4G as the 4G is usually harder to get a good signal on.

My thunderbolt has hit a speedtest for 41 mbps download my friend's Sprint galaxy s has yet to hit 10 mbps both in Charlotte NC if you can get Verizon's LTE go for it it is the fastest network. Remember you will pay more for it however, just goes to show you get what you pay for

You need to consider much more than just who has the fastest 4G. You need to select the carrier based on real world coverage where you need it. If the coverage isn't sufficient then you won't maximize whatever data (3G, 4G, etc) is available.

True but given the OP specified Verizon and Sprint it should be inferred they both provide 4g coverage in his area
