Help 4glte symbol in notification bar won't disappear on wifi

Ever since the latest update, my 4glte symbol is constantly visible despite being on wifi. It doesn't appear to be being used, but I still would rather it not be there. Anyone else with this issue or have a possible solution? Thank you in advance.

Some carriers just have their phones set up to perform this way. For example, the stock rom on my AT&T HTC one x never hid my cell network indicator, even when I was on wifi and had cellular data turned off.

It's probably a glitch. If you reboot the phone, it will probably go away.

Before rebooting, try to go into airplane mode, then turn off airplan mode and see if that fixes it.

If you are talking about the latest Verizon update, this has been reported in other forums. The cause of this is the addition of the new Caller Name ID app. If you disable this app in the Application Manager, it fixes the issue of the 4GLTE symbol displaying alonside the Wifi symbol.

BTW, using Caller Name ID will cost you an additional $2.99 a month after the 30 day trial expires.
