At the end of every day when I check what used up my battery, the display is always far ahead of everything else, normally between 50 and 55%, with the second thing being voice calls in the mid 20's, then nothing significant after that. I turned off auto brightness and made the brightness low and also made a black background. Is it normal for the display to use this much battery?

Cause the first step in anything you do is turn on the screen

PS...that battery percent thingy is relative. Lets say you make phone calls all day, even with brightness on full, you will notice phone calls will jump to like 80 percent, and screen usage will drop down to like 20. Just an example, but thats how it works.

So if you make calls, surf, listen to music, etc... the screen ususage goes down, because in relation to everything else, its being used less. Which is stupid, because its actually always on.

so just dont even look at that.
