I'm on rubix 2.0.1.. If I install the stock .595 will it change my baseband, etc? Or does it leave all of that alone, unlike the .588 update.zip file?

After installing .595, can we sbf back to froyo if need be?

I know you were joking, but to clarify for the asker, this is NOT the case. I guarantee that they did not hose their entire internal version tracking system just to increment a number.

Unfortunately, we also don't get a change log between versions so the only differences that anyone will be able to talk about, are the ones that are simply discovered along the way.

How do we know the resolution of the widescreen setting? In the dropdown it doesnt specify.

I guess I'm reluctant to upgrade from .591 because I'm a bit confused about which direction I want to take. Do I want to d/l the build that I can do the OTA over? If I do, will it root with Gingerbreak? If it doesn't will sbf bring me back to have the ability to get root again?

I guess it's good to have choices.

I'm just thinking out loud. It's funny. I make fun of my wife for doing that. ;)

Now what are the chances of the gingerbreak working on the OTA? Far be it for me to complain but what would be the point of getting the OTA prepared release and finding out it can't be deodexed and rooted, then you have to sbf back AGAIN....lol.....and flash the fully rooted and deodexed version.

    Dilemma, dilemma. What to do?

Are you sure about that? In the status bar without any addon apps like battmonx, etc.?

This is what I'm most worried about.

We're all assuming that it will be possible to SBF back to 2.2.1 from the OTA. I hope that will be the case but with 2.2 and 2.2.1 it was not. If we can't SBF back I'll probably stick with the leak until everything is figured out with the OTA.

Just a heads up for people...DO NOT try using the Droid 2 Bootstrap to make a backup once you've upgraded to .595, you will boot loop. I'm not sure about the Droid X bootstrap.

I'm definitely getting faster download speeds with 595 vs 591.

I have created a backup with d2 bootstrapper no problem. Haven't tried to restore one. Not sure if that'll bootloop. Did you bootloop creating a backup?

I personally haven't done it but people on other forums are boot looping when they try using the Droid 2 bootstrap after updating. You made a backup after installing .595?
