Ok, it's only been about 10 hours since installing but I feel it's been long enough to give a complete opinion on this ROM.

Clockwork and SPRecovery are both supported. Initial boot was very short, about 3 minutes (nice bootanimation too). Apps will not restore from the market. This ROM skips that part of the setup wizard and immediately prompts to give SU permissions for titanium backup, which is preinstalled (really nice feature I thought, even though I use the Market to restore apps so this made it a hassle for me).

However, all apps have shown for me for the first time on a Froyo ROM without running some sort of Market fix.

The ROM is pretty snappy and responsive with the stock kernel and apps open seamlessly.

I tried a few kernels and Chevy's newer kernels at 1.2ghz. SS 4.6's performance is great, 150's benchmarks and 1600's in quadrant. That isn't always the barometer but in real world use it's extremely fluid, screen transitions are great, and no lag opening any apps. Just considering the 'real world' testing it's better than any other ROM I've run. I had higher quadrant scores and lower benchmarks with Succulent Desire but there were a few instances where it would 'stutter'.

SS has a built in 'tools' section in the menu. From here you can run scripts for camera shutter sound, adblock, deleting stock apps (the usual stuff) but there are also additional options for LED notifications in just about every color and the option to change colors in the status bar and notification menu. Battery percent is displayed in %10 increments. The unlocked NFL app also works with SS 4.6.

I really like the Simply Stunning theme. A mix of smoked glass with nice cyan/blue colors.

The deal breaker for me has been the battery life. It's the worst I've seen in awhile. I've lost %20 just being idle for 3 hours. Never touching it once, and this being at 250mhz LV while the screen is off.

I REALLY wanted to love this ROM and use it for a few days at least, but personally I look for battery life first and foremost with any ROM because I am not always able to find somewhere for a quick charge. SS 4.6 runs so fluid and seamlessly that it is almost worth it. 3/5

wow, this ROM is fantastic. Personally, I don't use titanium backup so the setup changes were a bit of an issue for me, but a great idea. No idea if his previous ROMs were this way (I haven't tried the last 3 or so), but the setup wizard skips sync with the market and immediately prompts SU permissions for titanium (its preinstalled) to restore apps. I always just autodownload from the market so this was an issue because when I opened the Market only my paid apps showed.

BUT all of my apps showed, even ones that normally did not on other ROMs (cachemate (paid) has never shown on any ROM but this one)

Stock speed has been very good and I really like the SS theme. Launcher pro is working with no issues.

I'll write up a full review late tonight or tomorrow, I want to get a full feel for this release before I do. So far so good though.

I am finally giving chevys rom a shot, i have been running and pleased with his kernels for a very long time. I hope this rom is sweet. Does anyone know what the rom add ons are such as tun, and ext and those other things it list?dling now via rom manager, hope the kernels list was updated in rom manager.

I am liking the speed and fluidity of this rom, while running the 1.2 ulv kernel and temps staying around 34c, my quadrant score was 1429, linpack mflops was18.529, and short and long bench on set cpu is 164 and 463. All these scores are a good bit faster than i was getting on bb 0.4. All this is just 15 minutes into running the rom, i will report more later.

Is it possible to list changes and add ons like wired, wireless tether, reboot reboot to recovery mode so a person knows if it is what they want before loading ROM would save me tons of time going back if it doesnt do what you would like by the way Id like all those features :) And does this one break recovery like the last one did to mine. I do like the look of your roms by the way .thanks

That is crazy you are losing so much battery, my droid is the exact opposite. Mine sat with WiFi on all night and I lost only 10% in 6.5 hours. I was using the 1.2ULV Kernel.

Yeah it really bummed me out because this ROM runs sooo good. I wish it played nice with my Droid. I even had to charge it while setting everything back up while using the stock kernel.

I flashed SS 4.6 w/the updated 1.2 ULV kernel and my battery life is awesome! I have 50% battery after 23 hours with a lot of voice calls and moderate Internet use. In the past my phone barely made it from morning to night. I prefer the NexFro theme, but as far as speed and battery life I am completely satisfied.

Very snappy ROM. I cant wait to see the battery life. I had some stutter and bad battery life with CayanogenMod r2.

Yea, CMr2 was very slow on my Droid. This ROM is flying though. Definitely keeping this for a while.

I can't figure out how to turn on battery percentages though. I checked Chevy's tools and Spare Parts. Help?

Did you use stock theme? I hope it's available in the stock theme as I'm a big fan of Chevy's ROM, but not of his design choices :p
