    Hi,

I'm really looking forward to buying either the Samsung Epic 4G or the HTC Evo 4G....but I live in Brazil and my carrier is GSM 850MHZ. I googled around the internet and I've found some conflicting information regarding weather these 2 cell phones will or will not work with this frequency. Does anyone know?

    thanks

    Rafa

Neither of these two cell phones will work on a GSM signal.

    Many thanks for the info.
What a shame, though. These phones are amazing and are the only ones that have 4G :(

They have a WiMax form of 4G, which is easily outclassed by some of the newer 21 and 42Mbps 3G carrier upgrades.
Most GSM 3G phones support 7.2Mbps which is still more than the average '4G' WiMax connection is here in the States.
