Is it possible to transfer games and app's to my SD card???

Yes. Install Apps to SD from market. It would tell you which apps are moveable (would still work if you move them), and it can move them for you.

Install the app and use it to move other apps to sd.

Nope, not without at least froyo (2.2).

Or possibly after rooting, but I'm not sure.
