  2. You cant remove the metro apps. and there are no free apps.

    also you need to stop calling 911 unless its and emergency.

    you cant delete them and there our plenty of free apps in the android market. Also I suggest any apps that are already on the phone that you plan to use you re-install to get latest version/updates

    All you need to do is go to Android Market on your computer.

    https://market.android.com/

    At that site, log in with your Google user name password (same as your gmail user name password). As long as your phone is turned on and you have your gmail account set up on your phone, you can select apps on that site from your computer and they will DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL on your phone. Yes, even if your phone is in another room.

    Search through the apps there at the market. It will tell you which ones are free and which ones cost money.

    =========
    As for which Metro apps to remove, a couple are actually useful. But there's a list of which ones are safe to remove and which ones you cannot remove without damaging the operating system.

    http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-m/253523-list-apps-safe-remove.html

    but again, just because you can remove them doesn't mean you need to remove all of them.
