could someone create an app possibly with a widget that could tell you what your friction loss for fire hose is including appliances?

FrictionLossCalc is now available on the Android Market for $0.99.

It calculates friction loss based on the coefficient for hoses of diameter 3/4" to 6", hose length, gallons per minute, and optionally, number of appliances. An estimated PSI of 5.0 per appliance is used in calculations.

If you have feedback, please email me at polyclefsoftware@gmail.com

Hope you and other firefighting professionals find the app useful. :)

Firebot a much cleaner fire pump calc, made by fire fighters for fire fighters. A little more costly but hey you get what you pay for. :)

I'm currently working on an application that does pretty much anything math, if I end up including this into my application, I'll send you a pm! thanks for the extra ideas!

Take a look at FireFighter Calculator in the Android Marketplace or Fire Calculator - Home. I believe this fits what you're looking for, and not only does pump pressures, but has Foam calculations as well, and does it in US, Metric, and Imperial Gallons. I was impressed!
