Root A fix for GPS?

Now and then I've read that there is a fix for GPS however I didn't pursue it because I didn't know I had a problem! Well i discoverd yesterday that i do! It shows my current location several blocks from where i actually am.

After trying to search the forum I come up empty for this fix. Can anyone shed some much needed ligt on the subject? I use my Maps app a lot for business and would like to be able to see the REAL current location in contrast to the destination! Thanks.

If you are on aosp, then you will need the updated qualcomm drivers. I don't have the link right now (not at home) but if you check out some of Mizzou's recent posts I'm sure you'll see a link he posted to it (from dropbox I believe ).

Yeah, that'll be the updated driver. It'll fix it right up for you, and you'll get gps locks in no time! I'll look around for the link real quick...

Is it a good idea or not to do a backup (nandroid) prior to flashing the GPS fix zip file?
