Apps A Google Chrome APK for MIPS CPU

Hello,

I got an unbranded Chinese tablet sporting an awkward ATM7013 CPU on MIPS architecture which apparently prevents Google Chrome from functioning. Beside not working, during the app installation I also get a warning for possible Chrome malfunctioning due to CPU architecture mismatch.

All Chrome APKs I could find around the web are compiled for either ARM or x86 CPUs, none for my MIPS.
Considering I only have basic knowledge about Android, what could I do as a workaround? Are there solutions I could take, without going too deep into recompiling myself?

MIPS? Haven't heard that since the Pocket PC/Windows Mobile Days. It looks like you can't run Google Chrome on the MIPS Architecture but as mikedt said there's an Open Source Project called Chromium that might fit the bill;

I didn't read through the whole thing but it's worth a try. HTH
Actions Semiconductor Ltd. a Chinese SoC maker, does some MIPS based products that are used in various things. Including one or two tablets. But will cause some app compatibility problems for Android, if certain apps are using ARM code, which probably 99% of devices are ARM.

I remember myself with Windows CE PDA devices, with some apps had two versions, ARM or MIPS.
