Help 'a' key selects all previous text?

This is the second time this has happened to me - I'll be typing, and when I hit the 'a' key it will highlight all the text and the next keypress will over-write it. Last time I rebooted and it fixed it. Is this a keyboard shortcut I am enabling somehow?
IIRC, the first time it happened was before I rooted, so I don't think it has anything to do with that.

That sounds like what it might be. I wish I could find the settings for shortcuts right now but at work. Can anyone pull it up real quick!

Still doing it, and 'v' pastes, so this is like holding control on a windows keyboard. Hitting menu or pressing the optical scroll has no effect.

So that's what it is. On CJ05, it happened to a friend who was trying the keyboard and I could never reproduce it. I tried after reading this post and noticed that pressing together keys 'fn', 'a' does select-all, sometimes. I have not been able to duplicate 'v' to paste, though. Always wondered how Android could have left out basic text select, copy, paste functions. :)

Well, you can select text in a few ways:
Long press the optical brings up a menu and you can select all, copy all, paste, etc from there. You can also hold shift and hightlight text with the optical scroll or arrow keys, then long press optical to get the menu.

If you change the input from standard to swype, then use a physical keyboard, this issue occurs. change back to standard, and its fixed.
