    I'll start.

I'm not happy with any of them right now, and because I'm a chatty Cathy, we is gonna discuss it.

    What do you use?
Show me a picture of it?
Show me a picture of your sister?
    Is she hot?
What's the best launcher and why?

Honestly, I have a hard time differentiating between one launcher or another. I eventually settled with GoLauncherEX for being free and bit more extensible and configurable than TouchWiz. Honestly though I probably mostly have it more cause people tell me it is better than any inclination I have of it being better.

    - LauncherPro.
    - Are you a Basix user? If so, you've seen it. ;)
    - Go f(ck yourself.
    - Seriously, go f(ck yourself. ;)
    - LauncherPro - it's lightweight, customizable, stable, actively developed, and, of course, free.

You know I'm a basix user :p I like launcher pro as well, it just seems too bare bones for me.

    Also...

That's why I want to see a picture of her, I already do that.

I kinda feel the same way about all the launchers I've tried, although I have a hard time defining what else it should be doing. I don't know what but it seems like it should be more.

What do you think your looking for in a launcher that your not getting?

I'm not sure why you think that - it's endlessly customizable. Hit Menu > Preferences from the home screen and play around. Try the 3D drawer, cranking up the number of home screens, changing the dock image, turning on or off the status bar, etc.

i have to agree about the experimental 3d drawer, though it wont work when the phone is horizontal it seems i still like it better then all the effects you can enable with go launcher. I used go launcher for probably the last 2 months, but now i've been using launcher pro and i'm pleased with its ram consumption and overall use/look, this is the free version and not the donate version mind you.

Don't know if it is the best but I like it. I can customize the tray and there are 3 different trays to customize. Just slide to change.

I've tried a couple of launchers, but theres nothing out there that really compares to GoLauncher

Heres a screeny from July before the basix mod

I'll post my current set up, once I figure out (again) which screenshot program to use...

+1 on Go Launcher, because of the featureset - primarily the ability to folder-ize your apps.

I'm a simplistic guy. I want simple and fast.

If you don't require app folders, Zeam is minimalistic, stable and rocket fast.

Zeam is all about less features, more stability and speed. I highly recommend it. If you're like me and you want instantaneous response and no fluff, Zeam's your launcher.

(A mash up of basix 1.0 and ADW)
What's the best launcher and why?
For me, I think it's a tie between LauncherPro and ADW, each one offers features that the other doesn't offer, however, I've found ADW to have the more preferrable customization options over LauncherPro.

Alright, here's a few shots, for your heart's content...
The battery icon and other discrepancies would be from UOT...
I am trying to make a theme, yeah... It's not up to par yet for me though...
Maybe I'll release it here when it's done. But not yet.

I like GoLaucherEX and Zeam. I used Zeam on my Ascend (less memory) but like the
    configuration options on GoLauncherEx.

As a side note, go look at Animated Widget Pro. It really declutters the home screen.
    https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mobilityflow.awidget&feature=more_from_developer

    I have 5 setup on my home screen;
    1) Apps I use frequently (navigation, maps, browser, market and file manager)
    2) PIM shortcuts (email, calendar, phone, messaging and contacts)
    3) Media shortcuts (pandora, moboplayer, uber player and photo gallery)
    4) Coworkers I call frequently
    5) Shortcuts of all the ways to contact my wife (home, cell, text and email).

I may try Zeam again now that I have the app above installed.
