Basically what's in the topic. It's a Nexus 5 phone with the original Android OS (latest version 6.0.1), it's not and it's not locked to any particular carrier.
I was never asked to install that app , I wasn't even browsing Google Play Store today, neither from the phone, not my computer that logged in to my Google account.
How is it even possible? Who installed that app on my phone without my consent? Frankly I wouldn't even care, but this app is basically taking your phonebook data, so it's kinda creeping me out that it's popped on my phone just like that.

Apps can be pushed from the Play Store, but in that case you would receive a notification (and it should only be possible if someone has your Google account login).

If you have installed a trojan that could install other apps. Have you installed other apps from outside the Play Store or enabled installation from unknown sources and left that on?

One obvious question: if you look at your installed apps in the Play Store app is it listed there? If it isn't then for sure that's not how it got on your phone.

One other obvious question: can you uninstall it?
