It is short - most of that is setting up the drivers. Running unrevoked is essentially a one-click operation.

If you have Mac or Linux it's easier, as there's no faffing around setting up drivers.

does the gingerbread ruu let you put Google maps on to SD? This would make a big difference

A2SD+ rom will allow it yes.... Will allow you to move alot more with an app called App2SD

Man Its easy don't be put off by the hboot drivers as that's the toughest but and its not hard.....

Just go for it!
Ha, ya heart will be pounding the first time you do it for the fear of 'bricking it' until it boots up but don't worry!

ill do it lol. Just been a mental 2 weeks. Started a new job and the software is mental. My head has been a shed by the time i get home. I couldn't mentally challenge it lol

Yeah, best to be in a good frame of mind - I adjusted my mtd boot and upgraded Redux after midnight recently, and it took two goes to do it as I made a silly mistake first time round.

If you read through the steps and make sure you have everything you need to hand (or downloaded and know where it is), then just taking it one step at a time gets you there. Each step on it's own is pretty simple - it's looking at the list that makes it seem daunting.

It's the phone that is rooted, not the card. You can buy a bigger card earlier or later, no problem.

you don't sync infact uninstal that if you have it you need the hboot driver for when the phone is on the hboot screen (power on phone while holding down volume)different things mate.. Read SU's rooting guide

Iv been reading the guide an the faqs for the past half an hour, it is very over whelming. Still it two minds as I really want to do it but im not a very technical person and can see it going very wrong
