I just flashed the new 4a kernal and the "smartass" governor is not the default anymore. Is there something wrong with it?

4a doesn't work with smartass. Get the b version. But get the new 41.b. Then use setcpu to set the governor.

Are you sure it doesnt work, its listed as a governor in setcpu on the "a" version.

So its not buggy or anything(no lag waking the screen, etc.)?

Not that, it just doesn't throttle down. No matter anyway, just d/l 4.1a and that one works.

    +1

I'm running it at 1.4 and .245 on smartass and its smooth and fast as hell with great battery life.

Running it with Perfect Storm 1.2

    Great combo!

I like it a lot, nice transitions, smooth animations and I like the sense feel to it.

It does have a lot more settings available.

I should have 4G sometime early summer here in Milwaukee, and one thing I like is that it has a built in radio setting to turn 4G on and off.

4.2 series out now fella's. Going to flash it momentarily. Personally going with 4.2c because I just flashed his 1.4 Rom as well which had 4.1c kernel included.

4.3 is out now, all the newer versions are listed in his kernal thread over on xda forums. Here is the link:

    [KERNEL][4.9.2011][2.6.32.21] Kernels from Adrynalyne - xda-developers

As far as just flashing the kernel, download it to your sd card, then flash it from Rom Manager like you would a rom. No need to clear data & cache though for just the kernel.

Thanks I flashed 4.3b through clockwork recovery and it worked fine. I'm running at 1.2ghz. Not sure if I want to go any higher since it seems to be running at a nice speed.

    Does Adryn ever sleep? :)

    Just flashed 4.3b replacing 4.0b.

Still running at 1.4 and .245 smartass. So far so good. Or so far so better, I should say. ;)

Running 4.3b myself, had 4.2c and it was not doing so great on battery life, so when I went to 4.3, used b instead of c. Running 1.3 and .245 ondemand, been better too, lol.
