How many moisture detectors do Desire have? I know there are one at the battery and one under the battery connectors (or what ever they are called). But are the more than those two?
Im just getting kinda paranoid as i just installed Invisible Shield and it required a lot of water, so im scared that i just void my warranty...

    Hopefully someone knows :(

On the same kind of note, do they function by absorbing water so they will dry out over time, or is it a compound that reacts chemically with the water and therefore a permanent change?

As far as I understand, it's a permanent change.

My daughters warranty was voided due to water,(steamy bathroom),not a desire btw.so Carphone Warehouse would not fix it ,behind the counter at the time were invisible shield kits for the same phone ,so i asked about the soapy water needed to apply them, and he had to admit that they had caused the moisture detectors in the battery compartment to turn pink in a few cases that he was aware of.

Bottom of the headphone socket is quite a common placement for these, hard to tell but there may be one there.
