Ah, I missed that. I wonder if there is much difference between the models. If most changes would be the same.

Anyone else wondering if they will actually get around to updating the Moto Z2 Play with Oreo?

They will get around to it... it's just not known as to when. Like any software update, actual release dates are not mentioned until they ( the developers ) know for certain that any possible problems are resolved. Added complications are there since the carrier's also need to approve the update so they know it works properly on their network.

To keep up with the latest I never ask such questions in a user forum like this... I do internet searches using Google or other search engines and see what's been mentioned recently by actual experts or the companies themselves...

Have you already received the update? I'm from Brazil and I received it three days ago, maybe I could have updated even sooner but I forgot to check for the updates before.

Still no Oreo update in the States... I did however get a security update for 7.1.1 today on Verizon, but that's it so far.

Halfway thru May and no update in the US. I'm beginning to think it isn't going to happen. Recent articles about Lenovo not happy with Moto sales and all.

It's been released in Brazil and just recently in India... so it's still a matter of time. We'll also have to wait for our provider's to do whatever they will as well...
