I've searched multiple sites and forums but no luck.

Should be simple. When I'm in the Phone (Dial Pad) I can access my Call Log, but once I'm in a call, I can't see the Call Log anymore.

As an example, on the EVO you can still see Call History through the People App. That's all I want!

Anyone have any idea where to find this?

I guess there is no answer to this problem, i hate to hang up, get the number from the call log and then call the requester of the info back again

I find this frustrating also. I found one rather simple app that shows call log and does work while in a call, and doesn't request too many permissions. It's called Call Log Tools. Full name is
    com.cunningdogsoftware.clt

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cunningdogsoftware.clt

Works for me, on Samsung Epic 4G (Samsung Galaxy 2) running Android v2.3.5 stock (not rooted). If I later find a problem, I'll say it on their review page.

Well, there is an easier way. While on a call, hit your home button, then your menu to get to your apps... Find your call log there, and open it that way. I just tried that and it works. Also, if you're wanting an app for your call log and such, I suggest contacts+
