Accessing Contacts through File Explorer?

Hi all,

As mentioned in a previous post, my Samsung Galaxy S2 is messed up in a Force Quit loop, and the OS looks as if it's shot.

I wanted to know if I can access my contacts via ES File Explorer?

I can't get access via the pre-installed Contacts app, as it won't work at present and the screen just goes black.

Any help welcome.

Gmail.com, sign into your account, click on the "Gmail" icon with the drop down arrow below the Google logo, and you can select contacts. This will show every person on your Google account. Hope it helps!

You don't use GMail at all? When you first started your phone it didn't ask you to login or to create a new GMail account?

I have a Gmail account, but I don't use it.

Oh well you can sync your contacts via Google and then access them via GMail which is why were asking.

I believe the Contacts are stored in /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/contacts2.db - you can try in there, but not sure what you could use to read that database off hand. Let us know if you have any luck.
