Help Accessing Data in Contacts Storage

Hi Everyone,

I recently performed a factory reset after backing up my GS2. On restart, I was missing all but 14 contacts.

Looking at Application Manager, I see a file called "Contacts Storage" which is 8MB in size. I hope this contains all the missing information but I'm not sure how to access it's contents. I hope my contacts have not been permanently deleted.

I'd be very grateful if anyone can advise me through the process.

Many thanks,

I have been searching online and there appear to be a number of data recovery tools to enable deleted data that still resides in the phone's internal database.

One application is called Dr. Fone - does anyone have any experience with this? I tried to use it last night, but the process of connecting to my GS2 failed.

Thanks,

gs2 user
