Accessing .lnk on a computer

I have videos on my computer. I can access those files via VLC or ES File Explorer.
Also, I have a folder on the computer with links to those videos.
Obviously, I can access those files from my computer, but not through my android tablet/phone.
How can I?
I've seen this question asked a few times before getting a response that its impossible, but that was many years ago... Anything changed?

You can copy the videos to the phone. That would work.

If your .lnk is a link on the computer to a file that's on the same computer then obviously that link is specific to that computer's filesystem and so not portable at all. And if it's a Windows file type then it will only work on Windows, and that is never going to change.

Can I create links to files on my computer from my Android phone?

Try it: long press on the file in your file manager and see whether it offers that as an option.

Create a word document with those videos links on your pc. Then using a file manager on your phone you can access that word document and open those video links

I believe .LNK files are specific to Windows only, and so Android wouldn't know what to do with them by default. Unless there's an app for that?
