Hi, I had my son's phone (Galaxy Ace) and intended to turn it on but I think I accidentally held the Power On button at the same time as the Volume Down button. The screen then showed a "downloading - do not turn off the unit" message. That was around four hours ago and has stayed showing the same.

My son currently has the phone at his mum's house but assures me that it is still showing the same. Can you give me any advice as to what I should do to get it back to how it should be; I apologise for my stupidity but would be grateful for any assistance that any of you can give.

    Many thanks.

    Bill

Just hold the power button for 10 seconds, it will reboot the phone normally.

Many thanks for your kind response and apologies for the delay in acknowledging your advice and assistance, Ayush29k. It did, of course, resolve the problem.
