I recently got my first HTC. It's the new HTC EVO 3D. I'm posting here because this is a more popular forum and they're essentially brothers. Anyway, I found that often when I'm TXTing I accidentally launch either the Recent apps or the Speak Now function. I accidentally do this 50+ times a day be olding the home/search button accidentally. Is it possible to either disable this feature or make it so I need to hold the button longer than 2 seconds to activate these features? Please advise. Thanks a lot!

It has been recognized (at least by me) that the buttons at the bottom of the phone are overly sensitive. I hate to answer this way, but, you're holding it wrong. After a year of use with the original Evo I am having to watch this myself. Yeah, its annoying, but unfortunately these buttons cannot be disabled.

Have fun with your new phone!

I know your pain. I'm coming from a Moto device with physical buttons and do I ever miss them.

I had that problem as well, until I got a outterbox cover. Gone as well are the smudges from sitting it down & just handling it in general.

I ordered a case yesterday because local stores were being ridiculous with prices. Hopefully this corrects the issue for me. =)

I lock my phone with the top button when I expect to be on the phone for more than 5min.
