Acclaim won't mount in debug mode?

I have used Easytether previously on multiple occasions, and now I am on a 6 hour road trip, and my phone won't mount to my computer while in debug mode. When it's not in debug, it mounts fine... I am currently using my mother's Acclaim to tether me, so I know it's not the computer side. Any suggestions? I rebooted everything, reinstalled the app, you name it. I'm stumped.
