I bought a Galaxy Ace a month ago and now I've come to wonder: when I first got the phone, it didn't have an Android setup page, therefore everytime I go onto the Android Market, it always said that I don't have a phone associated with the account
I'm currently in another country so I can't use it for calls or internet connection right now, but I wish to have this problem fixed before I go back
is this something that shouldn't have happened? do I have to boot my phone (with home key + power button)?
    thanks in advance

do you have a gmail account? if not create one then on the phone gmail app enter the gmail and password, that's all you need to get the phone synchronizing with gmail and android market.

I do have a gmail account but my phone doesn't have a gmail app, nor the Android Market app
do I have to download it via Market? (then again, the problem is I can't download from Market)

If you have a computer with you, download and install Samsung Kies.
Download the gmail apk Google first result looks reliable

Copy and paste the file into the phone via Kies, then use the phone to go to the file and install the gmail app

Or just download it from that site on your phone lol

strange, is this an original phone or have you installed some custom rom?
try resetting the phone to factory settings, both gmail and market apps should be on the home screen.

Little confused here mate! Do you have the Market app? The next step is really dependent on the answer to that. ;)
