acer aspire one

    hi recently got the dual booting windows 7/android acer aspire one. there is a messages app but no sim card slot so wondering whether this app works or not and if it does how?

    Messaging on netbooks is generally a client for IM platforms such as Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, MSN and AIM. It is not for SMS messaging.

    yeh i know, which is why its wierd that there is an app on the netbook that i cant uninstall that uses mobile numbers to text people... am i missing something obv?

    Hmmmm. It might be a custom app that uses an internet portal to send SMS messages to mobile numbers. Is the app the same name on both the Windows and Linux OS's?

    um i don't know but it is the same app you get on android mobile phones...
