I can get a motorola Xoom, asus EEEpad, or Acer Iconia. I can get xoom and EEEpad for 399 or the Acer for 379. Which would you get and why? I'm using it for browsing Internet, controlling energy management system(work), and general multimedia purposes. I need the rear camera that all seem to have and prefer that these all come with 3.0. I'm new to tablets and am anti-apple.:D

I considered all 3 myself. I ended up focusing on the Acer for a couple reasons. The Acer has a USB host port right on the device, the USB host port allows you to mount USB storage devices as well as mice, keyboards and digital cameras (with the 3.1 update). Also on the Acer and not the Xoom (when I did my research a few months ago) was an ACTIVE MicroSD slot, the Xoom had it but needed an update of some kind to enable it, I do not know if that update has been pushed to activate the slot.

Price, at the time, was another factor for me, the Acer was priced $100-$150 less than the comparable Xoom and was competitive with the Asus but had more features.

The Asus might say it has a USB host port, but that's only when you're in the keyboard dock, it's not part of the device itself like on the Acer.

I went with the Acer Iconia....but I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices.
  5. I feel the same. A500 32gb from Costco only $429. Great tablet.
