I know, I know it's not the hottest coolest smart phone out there but at $210 at Costco it was right for my price point and light use. Running Kitkat 4.4.4. However, its full of Acer bloatware so I want to safely gain root permission on this puppy. Any Android gurus out there have recommendations? I see the web based 'one click' crap and want to avoid that. I am a tech savy retired Telco engineer and I know my way around code so I don't mind a multi-step proceedure that I can CONTROL. Thanks in advance for good advice!
