If you have a gingerbread ROM you will either have to restore the stock ROM(if you backed it up), or flash the Harmonia OR Bumblebee ROM which has the activate app.

Unfortunately I didn't back it up... mostly because when I got my Triumph I haven't yet figured out how to install custom ROMs I was just playing and watching more videos and I figured out what I was doing with CWM and got it to work, though I forgot to back it up. I did however tonight find the stock rom on market. I mostly wanted to know this so I can sell my phone but because I didn't know how to activate with a custom rom I put in my CL add that the phone was Modded and there for sold as is since it wasn't activated and wouldn't offer any refund, so there for preferred to sell to someone that knew what they where dealling with. But it did get me interested in if this can be done.

now with that being said where do I get one of those two ROMs you mentioned above... Thank you

yes I was talking about when I got my Triumph and switched my account to it I started playing around more with the optimus. however I decided to sell the optimus since I have the triumph and really don't have use for the optimus. which is why I asked what I asked in the OP

If you just want to sell the phone, make a backup of the ROM you have installed by going into the recovery. Flash the stock ROM.

When you sell the phone explain how to get the gingerbread ROM back on the phone. This should make it easier to sell the phone. Who wouldn't want gingerbread on there phone!

Go here for more info on backup, restore, and flashing a new ROM http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...tory-reset-your-rooted-phone.html#post3263770

Don't forget to tell the new owner that they can not use the factory reset in the privacy menu, now that it's rooted,or it will brick their phone.

Ok I ran into some problems with the Harmonia rom. my home button quick working inside the the ROM and on recovery I had to play with my volume rockers to turn on the back button and the search button became my search button then becomes my select button I am using v3.2.0.1 I believe. When I installed that rom and clicked on the phone icon it said that the app wasn't on the phone I then went back to the last room which missed things up worse kept rebooting every time it would go into android. I found a stock room which didn't work any better but after installing it I then went back to ginger bread ROM I had on there. this made the phone app work but now I am still having problem with the home button

What OS version is your phone? If it's 2.2.2 then you might have installed a recovery that doesn't work for it (especially if you installed the one in ROM Manager. Go back here http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...tory-reset-your-rooted-phone.html#post3263770 get the VM670NH_recovery.img. Put it on the root of the sd card and rename it: recovery.img. Open up the terminal emulator and type in the code. Everything but the third and forth line. su(return) counts as the first line.
This should get you straightened out. Then do a fresh download of the ROM's and gapps. Install the Harmonia following the Froyo install instructions. Once activated go back and follow the instructions for installing the gingerbread ROM and gapps.
