Hey all im having some trouble with exchange activesync over the air.
I have it set to dl my mail and calendar but if i access that mail account from elsewhere with webmail all of a sudden my phone will not sync anymore.
If i delete the account off my phone and reset it up it works again, but only until i use it elsewhere and then no more sync...
    Any ideas?
I use the mail widget too if that helps.

Are you referring to OWA for webmail? ie http://myserver/exchange
i do this all the time, and also via my laptop outlook 2010 is running but my phone always dings me when i get an email to the exchange server, even when using Outlook or OWA(webmail)
I can help if you can tell me more about you problem.

    Yeah mate OWA.

    my webmail is https://mail.address.com.au/exchange/ and the settings i use on the phone are;
    server: mail.address.com.au
    domain: ch4 (thats our domain)
username and password as required and i have ssl enabled.

    thanks for your help

Edit: NB it also works without specifying the domain - but i am trialling it now to see if it fixes it..
Edit again: Oh i've also changed to download only the past 7 days instead of 30days - perhaps theres a size cap?

I have just set my desire to recieve email
    1) sent email from yahoo to my exchange account and DING laptop and phone piped up - good result

    2) just sent another email with you OWA open from my yahoo, took a bit longer for OWA to tell me there was mail, but Desire told me

    3) send email from desire to me and other account as expected arrived

as for https make sure you have ssl enabled on your desire and you have a vald certificate.

    feel free to get back

well, im not sure about the certificate... but i have ssl enabled.
from memory it only seems to do it when i do something like a massive bulk email delete session or something like that.
I tend to clean out my inbox once a fortnight so i delete like 10 mails and move about 5 and do all this in a mad rush so maybe the desire just cant keep up?
I will have to experiment more but i think last time it stuffed up i had just done a massive delete sesh on webmail.

edit: by the sound of it im assuming you have yours set to push
