    Hi,

We have Exchange 2010, and BES. we are considering switching some users to Android/Activesync. Someone told me that on Activesync, when you receive a new email, the New Mail count will go up, but that it won't download the message until you open the mail application on the phone.
    Is that true?

    Thanks,
    Albert

I can't say for Exchange 2010, but on 2007 it works fine for me. I get a notification, go into the mail app and the email is there.

But what happens if you get new mail, but don't open your mail app after your plane has taken off, in the absence of service. Are all the new emails downloaded to the phone?
