Root Adb Help

Okay so in the last few days i gotten really good with adb'ing things into and out of my phone. But htis one thing is driving me crasy so heres what i do

c:\android-sdk-windows\platofrm-tools> adb install d:system/system/app/SNS.apk

then i get this in reply

244kb/s (1394437 bytes in 0.557s)
pkg:/data/local/tmp/SNS.apk

a few seconds will pass before i get this

Failure [INSTALL_FIALED_DEXOPT]

Multiple threads here discussing this.
Could be anything from a signature issue to needing to actually place the files where you want them with root explorer and then pushing them.
