I hope this helps for those that want to break their Android tablets because of adchoices. I get them even if the tablet is just 'on', not just when I'm streaming a video or browsing the net. I went to settings, and found a tab for 'Google'. From what I can tell, they are partnered with Adchoices. So I found a tab to opt out of the ads. They are based off of your choices. It took several attempts to have the list finally done. ( I just finished about 20 minutes ago)

Click on the ADS tab, click ads by Google, it will ask to open in a browser, you then get a big efin list of ads, click on opt out for the ones you want GONE. I picked everything. Then it showed a screen telling me the requests are being sent. Then I had to click try again for the few that remained.
The only one that remained was DefyMedia, but so far.......no BS pop up. I will ad to this thread tomorrow to let you all know if it worked.

I won't lie, I've come really close to choke slaming my nvidia shield tablet. Its like a non stop nightmare of door to door sales people trying to get you to buy everything you don't want. If this works on my tablet, the next step is my PC's. Cuz I'm really tired of opening a web page and then I get redirected to something else?! Sometimes I wanna go Elvis on my shit and blast it. But then, I'd be even more of a pissed off caveman, cuz I broke my stuff. Wish me luck.☺

There are apps out there for free that block that bs for Android and PC. Adblock to name a few, and Adguard for Android

I have tried a few of those, they were no help, but I think I got lucky, I've streamed 2 movies since I tried the steps I mentioned, one on you tube, the other on Netflix. No pop ups from Adchoices at all.
    yay me!

Well, its a day later, and no full page pop ups at all! hells yes!!!!!!

  5. I did the same and so far only one I get is the one I allowed which is info for my state I live in. I got the list and it populated, it is thru Google and I checked Adchoices and clicked select all to opt out....works good. I couldn't believe all the ad companies on that list, and yes very annoying and frustrating indeed. I don't want my mobile data being used on the road for these Adchoices. I want my choice...lol...thanks for sharing

Isn't it amazing that we have to hack our (OWN PHONES' to keep them from disrupting us with ads!
As like many of you, I've read up on this seemingly Illegal form of forced advertisements.
Only to find that they are governed by DAA (digital advertising Alliance) & DAAC (digital advertising Alliance Canada) described as : 'The DAA is an independent 'SELF REGULATED' non-profit organization led by leading advertising and marketing trade associations.'
    LEAD BY THEMSELVES!
    SELF REGULATED?!!!! WTF!
It's absolutely ridiculous that we have to have a form on this in the first place. it's our phones and our service that we pay for!
Yet they are able to interrupt what we are doing on our own privately owned phone with their damn ads, and collect private information on us, all because they are 'self-regulated' and can do what they want. Who put these people in charge of themselves? you know the answer to that. Same powers that be that have us under their thumb on everything we do.

As of July 2018, there is no app named "Adguard" for which there is a paid version available in the Google Play Store. I realize Google may have changed their policies on ad blockers since 2016, when you originally posted your comment. In 2018, are you aware of any ad blocker app, paid or otherwise, present in the Google Play store that will block the noxious Ad Choices ads?

Install the yanex or Samsung browser, enable adguard, then uninstall the browser to bypass it.
Still works with Chrome to this day for me

Well, maybe I didn't follow your instructions correctly. I have a Google Nexus 6 Android phone, running Android 7.1.1. I downloaded the Samsung Internet Browser from the Google Play Store, and installed it. I downloaded Adguard Content Blocker from the Google Play Store. I activated Adguard. I uninstalled the Samsung Internet Browser. I am still getting the AdChoice ads.
