Help Added a new friend to facebook, can't find them to sync?

I recently added a couple of friends to my Facebook account, and now I want to link them to their Google contact in my phone. Problem is, I can't find them in the options... If I go to the Facebook app, I see them, but when I go to the Google contact to try to link it, they aren't there. I've done some searches and it seems like they are supposed to just pop up randomly. It's been almost a week and that hasn't happened yet. Any suggestions?

1. Locate and select the contact you already have in your address book
2. Hit menu and then link
3. Select facebook contacts
4. Select them from your facebook friends list.

Um, yeah. Like I said, when I do that, the new friends I have added to my facebook profile don't show up. They show up in the app, but not on the screen to link.

I have some friends that don't show up either. And some of them did at one time.

The accounts on your phone..... are you using facebook or facebook for htc sense or both? I think that makes a difference. I'm sure you've already tried but in case you didn't if you are using facebook for htc sense, make sure you have everything synced since you last added them.

Menu.accounts and sync. Sync all

You sure you have the names/e-mail addresses the same for both Google and FB? I know the Google/FB integration can be janky if they're not.

I had a similar issue happen if the contact was previously synced. Go to Gmail and clear out the Notes section of the contact you want to sync. Then go back to your phone and re-sync the contact. This made the contact show up for me.
