adding app icons to home screen

I recently had to have my s5 wiped due to a virus . Everything now works fine , except for the fact that I cannot seem to put as many app icons on my home screen . It's a g 900a with version 6.0.1 . I have the search bar at the top of the home screen as I did before so I'm really not sure what happened. I currently have 12 icons on my home screen , where as before I had 16 . Thanks

Install a different launcher that will support as many icons as you like

Always remember to backup your device settings so in the future if you have to go through the same thing you can always log back into your device and your settings will be just as it was. Try ZenUI its a pretty good launcher and as Dannydet wrote installing a new launcher may help your issue.

That's what the guy at the cell repair place said , but he said that would also impact other parts of the phone. Also , I never installed a different launcher so why after the re set has this changed ? I'll do some launcher research . Thanks

I guess my old mind was playing tricks on me . Just for kicks I installed the google launcher , and everything is just as it was before. I guess I did install that at some point. thanks for pointing me in the right direction
