Adding Event Issue with Android Calendar Widget

When adding a new event some of my contacts are missing from the list offered when I press the contacts icon in the WHO field, even though the missing contact shows in my CONTACTS list when accessed from the home screen.

I do have the All Contacts option invoked on the New Event's contact list...

Am I missing something here? Help much appreciated.
