Hey folks - like you I scout the web looking for ways to save money. If you are a military veteran and can shop at the exchange you can purchase the Bionic for $199.00.

However, more importantly if you are a veteran or a family member of a veteran, Veterans Advantage, offers a 15% discount off your monthly voice plan, and 15% off of your monthly data plan, plus 25% off all accessories. So, if you have a son or daughter in the guard and reserve you can sign up.

Like Costco or Sam's Club you have to be a member, and membership ranges from $30 - $50 a year. If you are like me and have kids with data plans you know you can save the membership in one month.

Would have been nice to know that when I first signed up for Verizon in '08, but I guess that's not something a business would advertise. Still, being a fireman, I got a 19% discount off my bill, but not off of data. Did get 25% off accessories, though.

I think the discount applies to all emergency services and teachers as well, but I'm not positive. Def check it out brothers and sisters.

That's way cool! I am not military at all, and am on a corporate plan, but I support our soldiers and think they should get discounts on more stuff!

whats crazy is i deliver pizzas for pizzahut and i somehow managed to get 16% off of my phone bill and 20% off of the dataplan with 25% off of accessories.

A word of caution: If you have a grandfathered Alltel plan, Verizon will not give you the discount w/o switching to one of their generic plans. If you do that now, you will probably lose your unlimited data.
