Has anybody been able to add video codecs to the stock video player that allows HDMI output of more video types???
Or maybe even an app that can use the HDMI out to play more videos?

I have some HD BD rips I'd like to play on my TV via my Esteem, but I get the unsupported video format error when I try to play them with the stock player.

I can play them with BSPlayer but they are choppy and unwatchable on HDMI.

The REALLY strange thing is, the files are H264/AAC (supposedly supported) but in containers MKV and MP4. I'm not sure about MKV, but MP4 is supposed to be supported isn't it??

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
