Adjust display timeout when calling

When you make a call on the Droid, the display goes dead almost immediately. This behavior is irritating, particularly when your call is to an automated, robot destination where you are required to enter numbers to indicate you speak English or Spanish, or to enter your account number, etc. You stand there, shaking your Droid for each new entry.

Here is my suggestion for sensible display behavior:

  • When a call is successfully initiated, the display should default to the number keypad.
  • The display timeout should be adjustable and set to user preferences.

Does anyone know if either of these issues have been addressed?

Am I missing a setting?

Thanks,

Burt
