Has anyone else who was getting 98% + fill rates, noticed a drop off to about 80 - 85% in August. My latest blog entry on www.androidhobbydev.com has the stats. Was wondering if anyone else had experienced a similar thing last month?

Wow, 98%? That's impressive.
Admob has been having a tonne of issues the last few weeks. For a few days near the end of last month I was only getting ad requests when I got a click, so I had nearly 100% CTR.
They "fixed it" and re-ran the missing data , but I have no doubt they've made mistakes and lost some of the ad requests that I should have had recorded, which might explain your discrepancy.

This is not true. They will no longer develop admob for mobile websites. Admob will be strictly for mobile applications, while AdSense will be used for all websites (mobile and not).
