Root After 2.1 Root, Can't turn off alarm

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I did the 2.1 root upgrade and adding the nexus goodies, and removing the htc lock screen by following the instructions in the sticky. After doing this when I set an alarm I am unable to turn it off. I suspect it has to do with removing the htc lock screen because it used to be that I would have buttons on the lockscreen to snooze or turn off the alarm. Now the only way to stop an alarm is to turn off the phone and turn it back on. How can I fix this?

Anyone? The only way to end the alarm is to power down or use task killer. Pretty annoying.

Something else I noticed. If the alarm goes off when my phone is not locked, I get a pop up with a button to to dismiss it. I don't get this if the phone is locked though.

theres nothing you can do to fix the first party alarm without the HtcLock. go download a 3rd party alarm clock from the market.

I don't have any of this stuff installed and do not use the alarm but do have a workaround for you.

Change the screen timeout time to never.

That is one of the issues with the lock screen. Flash a different rom like sensable sounds like a good start for ya or aloysius v7. Vanilla will have the same problem.

no need to completely abandon a ROM just because of a little alarm clock. d/ling an app is much simpler

I have the same problem only I noticed after 2.1 leak v2. I went from root to the new leak (I know, I know, but I didn't read the fine print) and am still having the problem. Not sure if it's left over from root or what, kinda annoying,though.

I have same issue not sure why i haven't downloaded a new alarm app. Maybe because i kinda like it...defiantly wakes me up in the morning no worries there . But on a side note unless i was still asleep and dreaming im pretty sure the alarm dismissal box came up this morning and i could shut my alarm off.

For me it is totally a deal breaker! I rely on the alarm clock as my only means of getting up. Luckily with aloysius I have ring droid to add the sounds to my alarm. I heard there was a file of stock rigntones for the alarm but I have no idea how to put it on.

Do I just unzip it in the root or do I have to push it on using sdk?

I am having the same problem with not being able to turn the alarm off. If we were to go back the original HTC lock screen would that fix it? If so, how do you revert back to that screen...
